spiced hot chocolate

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS

2 cups of your preferred milk

2 pieces of good quality chocolate (I like 70% Lindt Dark Chocolate)

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

¼ tsp ground ginger

2 green cardamom pods, lightly bashed

METHOD

  1. In a saucepan heat the milk on a low/medium heat, then add the chocolate pieces and stir to melt.

  2. Add the spices, stir and increase the heat to a rapid boil

  3. Keep stirring until the milk starts to thicken and reduce

  4. Pour into mug (top with marshmallows and a cinnamon dusting, if you wish), get comfortable on the sofa, then slowly sip and enjoy the moment!
