spiced BAKED APPLES

Serves 3-4

INGREDIENTS

2-3 Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into wedges about 5mm thick

½ tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp ground ginger

1 tsp honey or maple syrup (or more to taste)

 

METHOD

1.     Pre-heat oven to 170C

2.     In a medium cast-iron pan, or ovenproof dish, lay out the apple slices so they only slightly overlap (you can get creative here!)

3.     Sprinkle over the spices

4.     Drizzle over the honey or maple

5.     Place in the oven for 20-30minutes, depending on how soft you like your apples to be

Serve with a dollop of your favourite ice-cream or yoghurt, and a handful of some of your favourite granola sprinkled on top.
